On the 23rd May 2002 Uluru BC Omaste Po finally arrived at our home. She is the first LaPerm in the UK. She is a fabulous cat and along with her kittens should be a great foundation for the breed here.On the Sunday 2nd June Omaste gave birth to the UK's first litter of LaPerms: three girls and two boys. See the kittens page for more info.On the 6th November 2002 the GCCF Executive Committee approved the LaPerm for registration.

The LaPerms made their UK show debut at the Colourpoint, Rex Coated and AOV show and were susequently shown at the Supreme and have recieved a wonderfully positive response.26th June 2003 Siouxsie has has a litter of LaPerms containing one boy and three girls. Also on the 30th June Omaste had four male kittens, three curly and one variant. See the Kitten page for more info.LaPerm Seminar: On the 19th of October there was a LaPerm breed seminar which gave about 50 people the opportunity to meet some of the cats in the flesh and find out more about the breed. March 2004: The GCCF executive committee have voted to grant preliminary status to the LaPerm, so cats should be able to be shown in assesment classes from June. Thanks to all for the hard work to get this!May 2004: Siouxsie has had a litter of five LH LaPerm kittens: two boys and three girls. June 2004: The GCCF Council have agreed the executive committee's recommendation and the LaPerm now has Preliminary status. Look out for LaPerms being shown in assesment classes.Show news: Siouxsie won her first merit at the National under Maria Chapman and also won two firsts and a third in her side classes. A great start! She went on to win her second merit at the Croydon Cat Club show under Jean Gamble.

July 2005: We have had two litters born. Omaste has had two kittens and Clara has had five.October 2005: Siouxsie has had a litter of six Short Haired LaPerm kittens.January 2006: Wiley (Quincunx Curly Coyote) has now won two kitten merits and River (Quincunx Columbia River) also got her first merit before going off to live with Judy.Summer 2006: Wiley is now a LaPerm qualifier as he has got his fourth merit. August 2006: Siouxsie and Omaste have both had litters of kittens by Wiley- a lovely mix of colours.October 2006: Lita has had a lovely litter of six kittens. This will be Wiley's last litter with us before he joins the Perm-a-nent cats in Sweden.December 2006: Mouse got her first merit at the National Cat Club show. Well done Mouse!January 2007: Mouse got her second merit at the Soutern Counties CC Show. Lita's son Dill Pickle (Blue Darker Points SH) got his first merit too before heading off to his new home with Janet.November 2007A litter of six kittens born to Siouxsie and Jack (who came to live with us in the summer). Three colourpoint girls, two colourpoint boys and a cream boy, all with white.March 2008: New kittens from Omaste and Mouse, fathered by Jack and all thriving in the nursery.June 2008: Two of our kittens, Bunyip and Jackalope, both gained 1sts in their open classes at the London Cat Club show, with Bunyip winning Best of Breed. They have now travelled over to their new home in Holland.
